When you file claims, we collect photos, product SKUs, quantities, supplier information, and related correspondence. We also collect usage data such as page views, feature interactions, and device information to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to operate and improve DAMAGED, process claims, send service-related communications (e.g., follow-up reminders, resolution alerts), provide customer support, and analyze usage patterns to enhance the platform. We do not use your claim data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We share your claim data with the suppliers you designate in order to process your claims. We use third-party service providers (Stripe for payments, cloud infrastructure for hosting) who are contractually bound to protect your data. We may disclose information if required by law or to enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Claim history is retained per your plan: 3 months (Essential), 12 months (Pro), forever (Elite). Upon account cancellation, you may export your data within 30 days. After that, data is securely deleted within 90 days.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and regular security audits. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings. You may export your claim data via CSV. You can withdraw consent for data processing by closing your account. For any privacy requests, contact us at info@damagedclaims.com.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use analytics cookies to understand how you interact with the platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Service.

DAMAGED may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., supplier portals). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
